Skills: Brand Marketing, Campaign Analytics, Data Analysis, Data Storytelling, Competitor Research
Overview: During Summer 2021, I worked as a Marketing Intern on the Retail Marketing & Strategy Team at Nintendo of America and worked on interesting projects that center around campaign analytics, competitor research, digital tactics, and brand marketing. Outside of my main projects and capstone project, I wanted to further the legacy of Nintendo’s internship program and make Nintendo a destination employer for both full time employees and interns.
Fun Projects outside Core Projects!
Internship Orientation Presentation
I decided to make the internship program extra memorable for my fellow interns by creating a slide deck for Human Resources to include in their Day One Orientation which was surprisingly used and presented in front of Doug Bowser to use to introduce us fellow interns to the intern program! It was super exciting and I really loved seeing Doug smile to hearing what each intern is excited about regarding their internship experience!
Internship Social Media Engagement Strategy
From applying to at least 600 internships, I realized one thing that attracted me to applying to those internships, it was the employer branding companies did specifically Salesforce and Google. I then realized after obtaining my internship at Nintendo, Nintendo needed to further its employer brand to compete with other companies who are looking for younger talent. With that in mind, I reached out to one of my fellow marketing interns who worked in the strategic communications team to hear another perspective. Then, a partnership formed where I collaborated with my Social Media Marketing Intern friend on pitching a social media engagement strategy deck to the Internship Program Manager on helping make Nintendo become a destination employer for specifically younger talent and devised some key engagement strategies. Check out the slide deck below for the final deliverable!
